Broodmares

SIRE BREEDING IS NOT CURRENTLY OUT, so this service is not available. This page simply exists in preparation.
Welcome to the Broodmare page!
Here at Grazing Steed we strive to ensure all mares present are well bred to fit the needs of all equestrians! Below is Grazing Steed's Breeding Policy and well as the list of all our mares currently living on the property or at one of our sister ranches. Each mare is fully trained, shoe'd, and is well fed.Breeding policy is as such;
-The Breeding Fee on a mare applies to all attempts to get the foal you wish. So if for example you specifically want the mare's coat but a stallion, and her fee is $500, its a one time payment of $500 even if it takes 6 breeding sessions (irl 18 days) to get the foal or filly you want.
-If you are unhappy with the foal produced as its not what you want and do not wish to do more breeding's, I will happily refund your money. In the case of a refund, I keep the foal.
-Be default, Grazing Steed will keep any accidental foals/fillies that aren't what the customer wants. If you do wish to keep any extra foals and fillies born even if they aren't what you want, just let me know. You will get them at no extra charge.------------> Remember to check out the pregnant mare list to know if any of these ladies are expecting!

Broodmares - Pregnant

Welcome to the pregnant mares page!
Here any mare at my ranch that is pregnant, be it a Classic or Sire, will be listed below. This is for those who have bred their stud(s) to my mare(s) to know when the baby should be born or to help others know if a mare isn't available for breeding at this time and when the baby should be born so she can be available again. If a mare is pregnant, but you are interested in reserving her next breeding, do ask! I can reserve for her to be bred to a stud as soon as she is available so she isn't snatched up by another. If the table below states ABCDE that means their shouldn't have any pregnant mares and all are available for breeding! Very important to ask me however incase I have forgotten to write down on the grind when a mare became pregnant.Any mare/stud listed with a * after its name does not belong to Grazing Steed.

SIRE BREEDING IS NOT CURRENTLY OUT, so this service is not available. This page simply exists in preparation.
Welcome to the Stud page!
Here at Grazing Steed we strive to ensure all stallions present are healthy and able to sire the best lineages! Below is Grazing Steed's Stud Policy and well as the list of all our stallions currently living on the property or at one of our sister ranches. Each stallion is fully trained, shoe'd, and is well fed.Stud policy is as such;
-The Stud Fee on a stallion applies to all attempts to get the foal you wish. So if for example you specifically want the stallion's coat but a mare, and his fee is $500, its a one time payment of $500 even if it takes 6 breeding sessions (irl 18 days) to get the foal or filly you want.
-If you are unhappy with the foal produced as its not what you want and do not wish to do more breedings, I will happily refund your money. In the case of a refund, if one of my mares was used, I will keep the foal. I will not refund for a stud fee if you provided your own mare.
-Each stud can breed as many mares as needed in one session if you wish to bring multiple to increase the chance of getting what you desire. The Stud fee applies to each mare, I'll keep note of them as that mare now has a one time payment and can breed as much with the stud as possible till the foal desired is acquired.

About the ranch
Grazing Steed's Staff
Martin Everett
Martin Everett-Reznov is the owner of Grazing Steed. He opened the ranch's doors in January of 2024, and since then, he has focused on ensuring each steed on the property receives the best life possible while in his care. Despite his resting bitch face and rather large intimidating figure, Martin is best described as a gentle giant. He is a type of man that treats all he meets with respect and kindness until they prove they are not worthy of it. He rarely shows any emotion besides joy, as he isn't one to be vulnerable even around those he cares for. Martin isn't quick to anger, and it takes a lot to get him worked up. He is incredibly patient and gentle, and rarely uses force to get his way.

~His full name is Martin Ethel Everett. He is 40.
~He is married to Viktor Reznov, owner of the Peaceful Kelpie on 11/10/23.
~Martin is formal about his name. He does not like nicknames, and only allows them from Viktor or Amelia (his best friend).
~Martin primarily wears his classic red plaid work shirt, with suspenders, jeans, and leather gloves. However, he does own many of his shirts in different colors, and can be caught wearing blue, green, grey, and even pink plaid depending on what's clean.
~He is nearsighted, and needs glasses to see things at a distance. He can manage without them, but he prefers to wear his glasses near all the time.
~He knows how to play both the Piano and Guitar, having learned it from Amelia during his youth. He only owns a guitar, but still remembers how to play the piano.

~Her full name is Lauren Yale Smith. She is 31.
~Similar to Martin, Lauren is formal about her name and is not a fan of nicknames.
~Despite working on the ranch, she prefers dressing nicer then other ranchhands.
~Lauren is a widow. Her husband was killed by robbers when their son, Cooper Smith, was only 3 years old. He is now 10.~She is the joke canon brain child to Ally Johnson (Fenris) and Fred Smith (Robin).
Lauren Smith
As the ranch grew, Martin struggled to handle the entire ranch himself. He hired on Lauren to handle the stud farm. She presented the idea of the retiree program, which Martin gave her the position of overseeing it. She enjoys the calm quiet life this job, as she prefers the presence of equines more then other people. Lauren takes her job seriously and ensures each stud and retiree under her watch is well cared for.If Martin isn't around, she is who to go to next with questions and operations of the entire ranch.
Kai Arasaka
Kai Arasaka is a ranch hand at Grazing Steed. He primarily favors working with the mares, although its believed he only does to stay away from the stallions because of their overseer, Lauren. Since arriving on the farm, Kai hasn't gotten along with anyone, fellow farmhands included, except for one. His ginger haired boss appears to be the only one the strange man will open up to, and the two often are found deep in conversation while caring for the mares. Besides a few details he has spoken about to Martin, little is known about this man's past life. Only that he refuses to speak of it.

~He is of Japanese heritage.
~He is allergic to peas.
~Does not speak to anyone but his boss.
~Kai physically is 18, but when he speaks, he does so with the wisdom of someone much older.
~Kai was one of the first hired by Martin in the early days of the ranch, and has been with Grazing Steed for over 10 years.
~Rumors among the ranchhand's is that Kai and Martin had a temporary fling in his earlier days serving the ranch.♡
Fun fact; the character Kai Arasaka belongs to the creator of Grazing Steed's irl fiance.
Grazing Steed Competition Tack
Grazing Steed primarily focuses on breeding, but with our horses that compete either through our Catch-Riding services, horses registered to Grazing Steed, or by being ridden by staff can be easily identified by its tack sets, examples found below.Grazing Steed competition colors are Black, Red, and Yellow.Typically, the tack set features the Scottish Blanket, colors V2 or V3, and the Trail Saddle Improved, black/black +any color, for Western riding
or the McClennan Improved Saddle, black/black +any color, for English riding.
Bridles, Martingale Harness', and any other tack and its colors depends on the saddle and its color.
More coming soon!
